The Reflection Loft | Contemporary Spatial Design

Background
A high-end loft residence in Taipei whose owner — a design-conscious professional collecting contemporary art — wanted an interior that would let the architecture, the light, and the artwork take centre stage. The challenge: a high-contrast minimalist aesthetic without flattening into a cold, gallery-like space.
Our Approach
Our team began in 3D — using advanced spatial modeling pre-construction to fully simulate light distribution at different times of day, proportional relationships, and how reflective material choices would interact. This let us refine the design before a single wall went up. We selected reflective surfaces strategically to maximize interior light depth and create layered ambience. A recessed lighting system delivers clean, uninterrupted aesthetics — letting the materials and artwork carry the visual weight.
